About SRPV

We are patients registered with South Reading GP practices. We work together to help maintain and improve the health of all residents of South Reading by engaging local residents with their local NHS. We encourage residents to express their views and relate their experiences in dialogue with local NHS health care professionals and to become more aware of what they can do to improve their own health and well-being and that of others.

South Reading Patient Voice is a group of patients working together to engage with the South Reading NHS Clinical Commissioning Group - the organisation which commissions care on behalf of the GP practices in South Reading.. Our formation has been encouraged by the Clinical Commissioning Group and we receive a small budget from the group for printing, web site and other expenses. We are independent in our actions and discussions because we exist to further engagement of patients with the local NHS.

Watch former CCG lead Dr Elizabeth Johnston on why you should get involved too.

We usually meet on the last Wednesday of the month (except August and December) at Friends Meeting House, 2, Church Street RG1 2SB. (Motorists can park in the car park last on the right on Church Street (accessed from Letcombe Street)). But check the meeting announcement on the home page of this web site as we occasionally have to deviate from our customary arrangements. Our meetings run from 6pm to 7:45pm. We discuss developments in the commissioning, delivery and experience of local health care services. Papers, presentations and minutes of previous meetings may be downloaded from the pages for individual meetings.

Anyone registered with one of the GP practices in the South Reading NHS Locality may become a member and attend our meetings. Please see our contact pages to join.
