Healthwatch Reading has now taken over from the Reading LiNK its job of giving local people a voice in health care and helping local people get the best out of healthcare.
Healthwatch Reading is the public representative on the Reading Health and Well-Being Board. South Reading Patient Voice has a seat on the Healthwatch Reading board. In turn Healthwatch Reading can provide information and reports to the national Healthwatch and should be consulted locally by the Care Quality Commission.
Associated with Healthwatch Reading is a patient advocacy service. If you have a problem related to healthcare the SEAP advocacy service should be able to help you take it further.
Healthwatch Reading operates a website, has an office in Cross Street in Reading, runs local events and carries out investigations into the operation of health and social care in Reading.
